The “My Favorite Sweater” is our signature sweater inspired by the old school roll-neck crew sweaters for people—a simple design with a classic look and feel. We’ve been offering this sweater for over 12 years. In 2018, the sweater was reworked to provide a better fit with a selection of colors and yarns.
The popular Fisherman’s sweater is made of pure virgin wool, soft, warm, water-resistant, free of dyes, and not scratchy. Available in an antique beige with small blue stars under the neck for that extra nautical touch. The fisherman’s sweater, originating in Ireland during the 1950s, was the perfect protective piece for fishermen in rough weather conditions. The natural oils in the wool provided water resistance and warmth. It was traditionally made in the natural beige color of sheep’s wool.
Our acrylic sweaters with the ecru stripe are soft and warm with an added stretch and available in a variety of colors.
Hemp, a blend of hemp and acrylic yarn, is super soft and available in S’mores—(brown/olive with white flecks), and Peppermint (red with white flecks).
All sweaters are handmade in New England. Custom orders and backorders are not available.
Care for longer life of your sweater:
• Acrylic will not shrink—machine wash gentle cycle or handwash/tumble dry low, best if laid flat or hung to dry.
• Wool and the hemp blend are not preshrunk. Minimal shrinkage if handwashed, stretched a bit, and laid flat or hung to dry.
