FULFILLMENT
We try to keep our handmade apparel in stock, however because we are a small shop, apparel and fabric aren’t always available on demand. Fulfillment is the time it takes from the day of order until the day it ships. You’ll receive an email with tracking information the day the product has shipped.
Hoodies and pullovers are available within 5 days of your order depending on the availability of fabric. Although we try to keep the fabric in stock, it’s not always available, therefore a challenge is having to find more of it, we’ll let you know if that happens.
Tie-dyed hoodies may take longer as they’re done in batches, therefore orders are typically fulfilled within 7 to 10 days.
Once a hoodie and/or pullover is fulfilled, shipping takes 3 to 4 days.

Orders are not fulfilled on demand like they used to be. The remaining sweaters are only available at local markets at this time. Backorders are not available. Hopefully we’ll be able to update on future quantities. An experienced machine knitter is needed. Please keep up with our Instagram account @thechocolatepeanut for the latest news on availability.

Bandanas are being phased out as we concentrate on our hoodies, pullovers, and knitted scarves. We manage stock on each bandana, therefore if a pattern is sold out, it is automatically removed from the shop. What is available will be shipped within 3 to 5 days of ordering. Allow another 3 to 4 days shipping.
Our tees are fulfilled and shipped by another company. Their turnaround times are:
USA: 7 business days
Canada: 10 business days
International: 15 to 20 business days and subject to customs fees
For a timely holiday arrival (USA and Canada), order by December 1.
NOTIFICATION AND SHIPMENT – Please read!
You will receive a confirmation email when your order is received. If you don’t receive the confirmation within a few hours, don’t hesitate to email us at shop@chocolatepeanut.com.
Shipping and handling costs per dollar amount of order:
Typically an order weighing less than 13.9 ounces – 0 – $75.00 = $7.00
Typically an order weighing more than 13.9 ounces – $75.01 – $100.00 = $9.00
Typically an order weighing more than a few pounds – $100.01 – $300.00 = $12.00
First Class with tracking: allow 3 to 4 days (least expensive). First class with tracking is only available at a maximum of 13.9 oz—approximately 1 large sweater and 1 scarf, 1 medium sweater and 2 scarves, or 2 medium sweaters. For orders weighing 14 or more ounces, the package has to be shipped Priority with tracking based on weight, allow 2 to 3 days.
Overnight shipping is available through FedEx.
For Worldwide shipping via USPS Priority Mail International, allow 6 to 10 days. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping costs as this is the buyer’s responsibility.
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
We always ship with a tracking number, however, if your order didn’t arrive beyond 5 days after your shipment comfirmation email, be sure to let us know! First check your shipping confirmation, also check that you entered the correct address. If the address was incorrect, though we’d be happy to send you another order to the correct address, it will have to be at your cost. If the shipping address was correct, please contact us noting your order number. We’ll see what can be done.
The last thing we want is for you to be stuck with a damaged item. If it arrives damaged, please contact with us within 5 days of receiving it.
TEES: If you aren’t happy with the size you received, first check that the size stated on the garment matches the size stated on the sizing chart. Although rare, it is possible that the garment was mislabelled. Let us know within 5 days of receiving it, and we’ll sort it out. If you would like a different size, please contact us, and we’ll work with you to get a preferable size.
KNITTED AND SEWN APPAREL: If a sweater, hoodie, or scarf doesn’t fit your dog to your liking, contact us within 5 days of receiving it. We will work with you on how to return items for a refund or another size if available—whichever works best. We design our clothes and accessories to fit comfortably, so please order a size that offers some wiggle room. We do not offer custom orders at this time.
Orders must be unused and returned in the same condition that you received it. After 5 days of purchase, we will assume you are happy with your item. You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are nonrefundable.
If this is a gift, we will work with you or the recipient.
